Development Coordinator – Retail Banking (1 Position)

Reporting to the Talent, Learning and Development Manager, the role holder will be required to deliver and implement training and development programmes on products, operations, risk and rigour, credit, customer experience, transaction banking among others, to Retail Banking teams that will affect return on investment through improved individual and business performance.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Delivery of training and development needs of Retail Banking using the Training Needs Assessment (TNA) and thereafter advising on recommended approaches/actions.
  • Drive effective delivery of curriculum using cost effective methodologies, taking potential cultural, educational, and technological issues into account in order to meet defined performance outcomes.
  • Facilitate, co-ordinate and deliver training programmes and coaching.
  • Up skill and coach teams and leaders in people development on skills knowledge and initiatives.
  • Preparation and management of training calendar activities for Retail Banking.
  • Reporting on progress against each training programme.
  • Collation of training MI to assess impact of trainings and performance.
  • Manage collation of all attendance records and evaluations for all courses.
  • Monitoring and evaluation of programmes to ensure the right people are developed, their performance improved and that there is a return on investment for the business.
  • Consult with the business domain leadership, line managers and the Talent, Learning and Development Manager to establish priority needs.
  • Work with line managers to develop individual development plans and track their progress.
  • Developing and implement comprehensive onboarding and induction programs for new hires in the retail branch network.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or any related fields.
  • At least 3 years Banking experience.
  • Strong monitoring and evaluation skills.
  • Excellent networking and relationship management background.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, verbal and written.
  • Good understanding of Banking.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required.
  • Good organization & team skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate teams.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Customer centric.
  • Motivated, flexible and ready to work under pressure.
  • Flexibility to travel to all business locations.
  • Able to convey factual information clearly.
