Technology Officer (1 Position)
Reporting to Specialist- IT Production Assurance, the role holder will be responsible for providing governance readiness of new installations, enhancements or changes to IT infrastructure hardware components and bank applications/systems per set standards, policies and procedures in line with the Bank objectives.
This role executes the IT Release Management and Change enablement processes and coordinates processes to other ITIL associated processes.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Responsible for proper change and release management compliance within the production environment.
- Collaboratively engage PMO to schedule, plan and control software delivery through the Release management process.
- Production environment Technology Projects readiness assessment & Implementation support.
- Coordinate and supervise IT Project change implementation into the production environment in accordance with the bank’s policies and standards.
- Enforce UATs and Post Implementation Reviews/UVTs for key projects and IT Changes implemented.
- Change Advisory board (CAB) secretarial tasks and schedule maintenance.
- Prepare reports for projects status and staging for those in the pipeline.
- Operate within the ITIL service management framework and various projects management frameworks to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of Technology projects into the production environment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or other numerical biased field from a reputable university or college.
- Certification in ITILv4.0+ foundation training,
- Certification in PRINCE2 (Foundation, Practitioner) or PMP.
- Certificate in Agile frameworks is an added advantage.
- At least 3 years broad experience in support and implementation of information Systems and communication systems.
- General technological skills in Server hardware, Storage, Operating systems (Windows & LINUX), Security & Network infrastructure.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, negotiation and communication skills.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence; speak clearly to third parties and employees.
- Self-motivated team player with the ability to adapt and work co-operatively and effectively in different situations and teams to carry out assigned tasks maintain a positive attitude under stress conditions.
- Disposition to share knowledge fully and willingly with other employees in the interest of the organization.
