Farida Nantege is an information and cyber security leader with more than 15 years’ experience spanning cybersecurity, technology risk management and technology assurance in the financial services sector. Her career has been shaped by helping organisations manage emerging technology risks, strengthen controls and safeguard critical information assets in an increasingly digital environment
She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor of Information Technology. She is a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and an ISO 27001 Lead Implementer.
As Chief Information Security Officer at dfcu Bank, Farida oversees the Bank’s information and cyber security function, with responsibility for protecting information assets, financial systems and customer data. She works closely with business and technology teams to ensure security remains a core consideration in the Bank’s operations, digital transformation initiatives and regulatory obligations.
Prior to her current role, Farida served as Head of Information & Cyber Security and Senior Audit Manager (IT) at dfcu Bank. She also held positions as IT Audit Manager at KCB Bank and Technology Risk Manager at Ernst & Young (EY), where she advised organisations across Uganda on technology risk, information security and governance matters. The breadth of these roles has given her extensive experience across assurance, audit, risk management and cybersecurity, providing a well-rounded perspective on the challenges facing modern financial institutions.
